The base is a sleek mermaid in ivory crepe — a straight halter neckline, bare shoulders, a long front slit that opens at the thigh, and a sweeping court train. Alone, it reads as austere minimalism. Then come the side panels: two deep cutouts at the hip, each filled with sheer fabric worked in fine champagne beading. The beadwork is scattered rather than dense — more constellation than embroidery — catching light without drawing attention away from the silhouette. The back of the gown is the decisive detail: a deep open V descends almost to the waist, framed by the same halter straps that cross at the nape, with the beaded sheer panel visible in profile.
The slit is generous. The back is exposed. The beadwork is restrained. Three considered risks, none of them accidental.
