Kamiko divides the gown into two parallel systems — and then merges them. One half of the bodice and skirt is constructed in opaque crepe with clean, tailored seaming. The other half is built in sheer lace with botanical embroidery, revealing the body beneath. The two fabrics meet at a high mock neckline and along a central front seam, creating a gown that is simultaneously covered and exposed.
Long sleeves continue this duality: lace on one side, the embroidered pattern visible against skin, while the crepe panel wraps from the opposite direction. A wide fabric belt wraps the waist, tying the two material systems together at the body's center point. The deep V-neckline plunges beneath the high collar in a construction that layers sheer over structured.
The A-line skirt extends into a chapel-length train, the crepe panel creating volume and weight on one side while the lace panel maintains transparency on the other. The resulting silhouette shifts depending on the angle of view — opaque formality from one side, intimate revelation from the other.
