Nakoma suspends flowers in mid-air — or so it appears. The off-shoulder bodice is constructed from sheer illusion tulle densely covered in 3D floral appliques, each bloom layered and shaped to stand away from the surface. The effect creates depth: flowers floating at different distances from the skin, some flat against the mesh, others projecting outward with full dimensional petals.
A corset interior with visible boning provides the structural foundation, its geometric lines visible beneath the organic floral overlay. Detachable long sleeves in the same illusion-and-flower construction extend to the wrist, continuing vine-like trails of petals and leaves down the arms. The sleeves connect with the off-shoulder bodice seamlessly, creating continuous coverage that appears to grow across the body.
The ball gown skirt is constructed in layered tulle and organza, the 3D appliques continuing from the bodice down into the upper skirt before thinning toward the hem. A chapel-length train carries the final scatter of floral work to its conclusion.
