The bodice fits closely through the torso, the fabric's structure eliminating the need for visible construction lines.
Below the natural waist, the full skirt opens in deep, pressed pleats that hold their shape through the mikado's rigidity. No embroidery, no lace, no beading — the gown's impact comes entirely from proportion, the quality of the draping, and the interplay of light across the fabric's matte surface. The chapel-length train extends behind in a clean, unbroken sweep.
Accessorized with sheer fingerless gloves in fine tulle and a short face veil gathered into a bow at the crown — these additions introduce softness and texture as deliberate counterpoints to the gown's strict minimalism. The gloves and veil can be removed, leaving a gown of pure architectural restraint.
