Berthe Morisot painted light itself. This couture gown mirrors her brushwork.
Off-shoulder draping sculpts the neckline into soft tulle folds that frame the shoulders without covering them. The mermaid silhouette follows the body closely from bust to knee, then releases into a cathedral-length train.
And that train. It curls at the hem in spiraling waves of tulle — like brushstrokes left on canvas, never cleaned up, never meant to be tidy.
The entire gown is covered in hand-beaded embroidery. Organic flowing lines trace the body from shoulder to hem, each strand of beading following the curves rather than fighting them. No geometric pattern. No grid. Just movement.
The off-shoulder sleeves are detachable — remove them for a strapless look at the reception. A high front slit adds edge to the romantic silhouette.
Berthe Morisot was the first woman to exhibit with the Impressionists. She painted what the men overlooked — domestic light, quiet moments, women at rest. This gown is her palette in fabric.
Hand-embroidered in Innocentia's European atelier. European fabrics, hand-beading throughout.
