About Innocentia — Ukrainian Bridal House Since 2013
How It Started
Innocentia didn't start with a plan for wedding dresses. It started with Oleg — a lawyer who spotted something others had missed. In Chernivtsi, the market was filled with two extremes: dresses that cost a fortune, and dresses held together with glue. There was nothing in between. "We found a free niche between very expensive and 'glue-stuck' dresses," he recalls.
To turn the idea into reality, he needed someone who understood fabric, craftsmanship, and quality from the inside. That person was Alexander. In 1995, Italian entrepreneurs opened a garment factory in Chernivtsi and needed strong management. Within three years, Alexander was running a 300-person operation — trained directly by Italian manufacturers with deep roots in Milan's fashion world. "The Italians instilled culture, comprehension of quality, and business attitude," Oleg says. "That's why I trust him completely."
When Oleg presented his idea for a wedding dress brand built on real craftsmanship, Alexander was skeptical — bridal wear was a different world. But Oleg was persistent. Eventually, the two decided to build it together.
The early days were honest in their difficulty. "We made mistakes. We made dresses I would now throw directly in the bin," Alexander admits with a smile. But every mistake sharpened their standard. Quality became non-negotiable. The niche Oleg had spotted turned out to be real.
Then came the name. Butterfly, tulip — every natural word in Spanish, Italian, and English was already claimed by competitors. They turned to Latin: Innocentia. Innocence. A word that exists across languages and fits perfectly with bridal wear.
Design Philosophy: One Woman, Many Moments
The Innocentia design team treats the dressed body as architecture — but the central idea the team works from is distinctly Innocentia's own: the transformable dress.
The transformable wedding dress is the core concept of Innocentia's collections. A single dress arrives with detachable sleeves, removable capes, overskirts, and trains — separate elements that allow the bride to compose multiple distinct looks from one garment across the course of her ceremony day. The church silhouette is not the reception silhouette. The first dance is not the last. She changes as the day changes, without ever losing the thread of herself.
This is not a styling trick. It is a philosophy: a wedding dress should participate in the bride's personal ceremony — accompanying her through every important moment, not anchoring her to a single one.
Innocentia offers two collections. The Innocentia line presents the signature aesthetic in classic and contemporary silhouettes, designed to be worn by women who want craftsmanship without distance. The Innocentia Divina line is the couture tier — hand-embroidered, architecturally complex, constructed for brides for whom the dress is the statement.
Craftsmanship and Production
Every Innocentia dress is made in our own production facility in Ukraine. We produce between 120 and 150 dresses per month, with each garment cut and assembled by a team that has worked with these fabrics, these silhouettes, and this standard for years.
The materials are sourced from Europe. French lace, Italian satin, and silk organza are the foundation of every collection — fabrics chosen not for their names but for how they respond to movement, to light, to a body that is about to do something it will only do once.
Our size range runs from US 2 to US 28. This is not a commercial footnote. It is a commitment: the ceremony belongs to every woman who chooses to step into it.
Custom orders are fulfilled in 8 to 12 weeks from confirmation. Every order is built to the bride's measurements, not adjusted from a sample.
Global Presence
Innocentia dresses are currently available through 46+ authorized retailers in 22+ countries. Our partner boutiques are selected for their understanding of the brand — boutiques that treat the sale of a wedding dress as the beginning of a relationship, not the end of a transaction.
We present our collections at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week and European Bridal Week Essen — the two primary international trade events for the bridal industry. These shows are where the bridal market calibrates itself each season; Innocentia has been part of that conversation since establishing its export business.
For brides who cannot visit a retail partner directly, custom orders are available through our network and directly through our team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where are Innocentia dresses made?
Every Innocentia dress is designed and manufactured in our own production facility in Ukraine. We produce 120 to 150 dresses per month in-house, using European materials including French lace, Italian satin, and silk organza. The brand was founded in Chernivtsi, Ukraine in 2013 and remains a Ukrainian bridal house.
What is a transformable wedding dress?
A transformable wedding dress is an Innocentia signature concept: a single dress constructed with detachable elements — sleeves, capes, overskirts, and trains — that can be worn or removed to create multiple distinct looks across the wedding day. The same dress that accompanies the ceremony can be reconfigured for the reception, the first dance, and the evening. One dress. Many moments.
How long does a custom order take?
Custom orders at Innocentia are fulfilled in 8 to 12 weeks from the date of order confirmation. Each dress is made to the bride's specific measurements. We recommend beginning the process as early as possible — ideally five to six months before the wedding date — to allow time for fittings and any adjustments.
What sizes does Innocentia carry?
Innocentia dresses are available in sizes US 2 through US 28. Because every custom order is built to individual measurements rather than graded from a standard sample, the fit begins from the bride's own proportions. Our retail partners can advise on sizing and sampling during the consultation process.
