Two gowns live inside this one. Bare or covered — she chooses.
The base is a strapless mermaid in embroidered tulle. Geometric beadwork runs in diagonal lines across the entire body — sharp, precise, like the facets of a diamond. A sheer cape-train falls from the shoulders and extends to cathedral length, adding drama without weight.
Now add the detachable high-neck topper. Long illusion sleeves, a mock-neck collar, and the same geometric beading — suddenly the gown is fully covered, modest, architectural. The sweetheart neckline still visible underneath. Two silhouettes. One dress.
The geometric pattern is deliberate. No florals, no organic curves. Every line has an angle. Every bead sits on a grid. It is structured desire.
Caroline Otero was the most celebrated courtesan of the Belle Époque. She performed at the Folies Bergère, wore jewels from kings, and retired on her own terms. The duality of this gown — exposed and concealed — is hers.
Hand-embroidered in Innocentia's European atelier. Geometric beading on illusion tulle.
