Gabriella Genta brought a controlled theatricality to Italian cinema — everything deliberate, nothing accidental. This gown operates the same way.
The silhouette is an A-line ball gown, but the skirt is not fabric in any conventional sense: it is built entirely from sculpted three-dimensional roses, each one individually formed and layered from hem to hip in a dense, sculptural mass that moves as a single volume. The roses are ivory-white, large in scale, and cascade across the full skirt and into a cathedral-length train. The back view — roses stacked and fanning outward — is as considered as the front.
Above the waist, the bodice transitions to a sheer illusion construction with delicate lace. Long sleeves extend to the wrist, with the shoulder and upper arm treated as a soft off-shoulder line, the sleeve fabric light enough to be nearly transparent. The sleeves close at the cuff with a feather trim that echoes the sculptural language of the skirt without repeating it.
