A fitted mermaid silhouette beneath a dramatic feathered shoulder and cape structure that functions as a separate wearable element. The gown itself — visible through the featherwork — is a densely embroidered mermaid in micro-beaded ivory mesh, three-dimensional floral motifs scattered across the fitted bodice and skirt. The defining piece is the shoulder and cape construction: masses of individually attached feather-like ruffles or petals sweep from the high collar across both shoulders and extend down the back, creating a halo of volume around the upper body. The cape trails behind as a second silhouette, echoing a train while remaining distinct from the gown beneath. The effect is architectural — the feathered frame reads as wings or a ceremonial collar of extraordinary scale.
