Shanin is a mermaid gown built on a contradiction: the structure below the waist is smooth ivory crepe — clean, unembellished, flowing into a court train — but from waist to neckline, the gown is covered in dense botanical embroidery on sheer illusion fabric. The embroidery is continuous: branch forms, leaf clusters, and small flowers cover every centimetre of the bodice and long sleeves, the ivory thread work on sheer base creating a surface that reads as patterned lace but with greater depth and dimensionality. The high neck and long wrists are fully covered. The body is visible beneath the sheer embroidered fabric.
The back is the counterpoint to the front: the embroidered sheer continues across the entire back, but the back neckline plunges to a low V — or, depending on the configuration, opens to a nearly fully open back. Front coverage, back exposure. The court train extends from the smooth skirt.
Worn in the lookbook with a matching embroidered cathedral veil, the veil fabric echoing the gown's botanical motif — an intentional extension of the design.
